These works emerge from time spent in Bogong Village in the Victorian high country, a place shaped by migration, industry, and corporate ownership. I was drawn to its layered histories, particularly the presence of European migrants who built Junction Dam, and to the village as a site both inhabited and abandoned.

Prior to my residency at Bogong Centre for Sound Culture, I walked the area, taking photographs to register my experience, the light leaks, shadows and views. From a single image, I developed a large-scale wall drawing in the studio, repeating and extending it across surfaces. This image was later printed onto fabric and returned to the site, where it was re-photographed within the dam.
